Because every child learns differently

A TK–6 public school offering flexible online and hybrid learning

Flexible, Personalized Learning

Each student follows an individualized learning plan tailored to their needs. Our hybrid model allows students to learn from home while also building peer relationships and social emotional skills through in person experiences on days that work best for your family.

Fully Credentialed Educators

All of our teachers are fully credentialed by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) and bring experience teaching both in traditional classrooms and online environments, ensuring high-quality instruction in every setting.

Teacher-led, Wherever You Are

Students stay connected to a credentialed teacher in real time, even when they are not on campus.

Learning, Your Way

Here are a few common schedules families love. Don’t see something that works for you? Fenton Launchpad can be custom-tailored to meet your child’s needs.

  • Families with younger learners often want the best of both worlds: consistent, in-person support to build strong foundational skills, along with the flexibility to learn from home. Many parents shared that regular teacher interaction and a predictable routine are especially important at this age, helping children stay engaged, build confidence, and develop early learning habits.

A common schedule families choose looks like:

    • In-Person: 3 days per week

    • Remote: 2 days per week

    • On-Camera Time (Remote Days): ~60–90 minutes with a credentialed teacher

    • Structure: Short, consistent live lessons paired with guided independent or parent-supported activities

  • This model builds independence while still keeping the child connected to a teacher. At this stage, students are more capable of managing their time and completing work remotely, but parents still value regular check-ins, clear expectations, and consistent guidance to keep them on track.

A common schedule families choose looks like:

    • In-Person: 2 days per week

    • Remote: 3 days per week

    • On-Camera Time (Remote Days): ~1–2 hours with a credentialed teacher (often broken into shorter blocks)

    • Structure: Live instruction and check-ins combined with independent work, projects, and application of learning

  • Some families prefer the flexibility of learning fully from home, while still wanting their child to stay connected, supported, and on track. Parents shared that even in a remote setting, regular interaction with a credentialed teacher and a consistent routine are key to keeping students engaged and progressing.

A common schedule families choose looks like:

    • In-Person: Optional check-ins, events, or support (as needed or occasionally scheduled)

    • Remote: 5 days per week

    • On-Camera Time: Daily or 3–4 times per week, ~1–2 hours with a credentialed teacher

    • Structure: Live instruction, small group support, and independent work with regular teacher check-ins

About Us

Experience You Can Trust

Fenton Launchpad Academy is a public school designed to meet students where they are and help them thrive. While our program offers a flexible, modern approach to learning, it is grounded in more than 30 years of experience operating brick and mortar schools across Los Angeles.

We believe every child learns differently, and some benefit from a more personalized, out of the box approach that may not fit with a traditional classroom setting. Launchpad was created to provide that option in a thoughtful, supportive way.

Driven by Purpose, Not Profit

As part of Fenton Charter Public Schools, a nonprofit 501(c)(3), our work is driven by purpose, not profit, and centered on helping students succeed. This is why Fenton Launchpad is tuition free for students who reside in Los Angeles County, Kern County, San Bernardino County, and Orange County.
